چکیده

Cardiac tamponade is a rare and potentially fatal outcome in patients who undergo atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation1. In the US about 2.7 million are known to have AF, of those approximately 0.8% catheter ablation. perforation with radiofrequency ablation (RFA) likely occurs through two mechanisms: mechanical complications sheath or steam pops RFA. Surgery repair cardiac more common after pop2. High power short duration (HPSD) RFA now commonly used AF due shortened procedure times no decreased long-term efficacy increased compared low long ablation3,4,5,6 .This case highlights occurrence during using HPSD patient bleeding diathesis hypodysfibrinogenemia.

radiofrequency atrial fibrillation ablation technique in patients with mitral valve surgery and left atrial reduction procedures

background: about half of all patients who undergo mitral valve surgery suffer from atrial fibrillation (af). cox described the surgical cut-and-sew maze procedure, which is an effective surgical method but has some complications. this study was designed to evaluate the efficacy of a substitution method of radiofrequency ablation (rfa) for patients undergoing mitral valve surgery with af. metho...

Radiofrequency ablation in treatment of atrial fibrillation.

Beside heart failure and metabolic syndrome, atrial fibrillation is termed the cardiovascular epidemic of the twenty-first century. Its increased morbidity and mortality is alarming. The present, most effective therapy of atrial fibrillation is catheter ablation. Successful ablation of atrial fibrillation prevents the occurrence and progression of electrical, structural and mechanic myocardium ...

Radiofrequency ablation for treatment of atrial fibrillation.

INTRODUCTION Atrial Fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia which represents a major public health problem. The main purpose of this research is to evaluate the Radiofrequency (RF) ablation effects in the patients with chronic AF scheduled for cardiac surgery because of different heart diseases. METHODS The descriptive and prospective study was conducted on 60 patients with AF...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effectiveness of intraoperative atrial fibrillation ablation using radiofrequency during mitral valve procedure. This report describes the early and midterms results. METHODS Between September 2003 and September 2005, 15 patients with mitral disease were operated. All patients were in chronic atrial fibrillation and with congestive symptoms despite full medication. T...
